There are different television networks in China that rely day-to-day information, whether it is news or entertainment. One of which is the China Central Television or the Chinese Central Television. It is also known as the CCTV. It is a state television broadcaster that is based in the mainland. It has a network of over 45 channels, presenting different programs that billions of viewers have access to. It is a mixture of documentary, comedy, entertainment, drama, mostly on Chinese soap operas and other forms of entertainment for the public. For the news, shows vary from the Culture Express, Travelogue, Center Stage, Asia Today, Communicate in Chinese, News Update, Sports Scene, Rediscovering China, and many more.

China Television Company is another separate entity that is ruled by the Nationalist Party of the Republic of China. It was initially formed in 1968, but started their trial broadcast the year after. It was the first television channel in Chna to broadcast in full color television services to the entire country. In 1999, it was listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange as the first broadcasting company in the island. It offers Main and News Channel, MyLife and also HD.

 

Chinese Television System is another thing. It is a broadcasting network, also based in the republic of china. It started at around a few years after CTC was launched. It was a joint partnership wit the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Education. It used to provide an Electronic Government program; its role was to act as a news source for government workers. It also other types, whether in analog or in digital. It offers channels such as education and culture, recreation, news, entertainment, soaps and many more. It even has an online streaming platform for viewers abroad.

 

Today, more and more news networks and programs have been utilized, not only by the government, but also by the other sectors of society.
